Tacos Dorados


Golden-fried tacos with shredded chicken, cheese, crema, and a fresh salsa of your choice. Crunchy, delicious, and easy.

Makes 30 tacos

Ingredients

-1 kilo chicken breast

-30 corn tortillas

-oil for frying

-salsa (can be chipotle, verde, cascabel, tomato-jalapeño, de árbol, or any other one you had in mind!)

Toppings

-avocado

-shredded queso fresco

-shredded lettuce

-cilantro

Directions

1. In a large pot of salted water, boil the chicken breasts until soft and cooked-through, about 30-40 minutes.

2. Using your hands or two forks, shred the chicken.

3. Cover the tortillas in a clean dish towel and put in the microwave for 30 seconds until warm.

4. Working one-by-one, put a small fist-ful of shredded chicken about 1/4 of the way up the tortilla and roll tightly. Taco should be about 1/2"-1" thick. Place seam-side down and finish with the rest of the tacos.

5. In a frying pan over high heat, add about 1" of oil. When oil is hot, add a few tacos and fry on each side until golden, about 3-5 minutes per side. When tacos are ready, lay on paper towl or brown paper bag to absorb excess oil and sprinkle salt on top.

6. When all tacos are finished, plate and top with crema, cheese, avocado, salsa, cilantro, and whatever other goodies you're craving.
